About the Artist

Cindy Waggoner - Biography

Cindy Wynns Waggoner

As an artist living in the beautiful city of Nashville, Tennessee, I have always had a passion for interior design while raising a family and pursuing a medical career. Having an artistic flare has always come naturally and I have painted most anything tangible throughout the years...furniture, floors, fabric....whatever. In 2020, I had the opportunity to slow down and devote more time to my passion and discovered that painting abstract canvas works to be enjoyable and my form of meditation. Leaning on my passion for interior design and working with the flow of paint helped me explore a sense of discovery and imagination.

Art should always evoke emotion and is a wonderful way to create an environment that is pleasing to the viewer's inner self. The transitional style of abstract art brings interest to both traditional and modern homes through color and composition. Color palettes, shapes and gestural markings come to life before my eyes. Simplistic when viewed individually....... blended, they unleash an imaginative spirit, bringing emotion and life to each piece. The wonderful subjective element of abstract art allows viewers to create their own tales from the emotions that spring to life from what their eyes behold. Unleashing this imaginative spirit and exploring a personal path of discovery are the joys of abstract art.

While painting in my home studio "she-shed", I have enjoyed working with clients and designers through commissions to help create their home become a personal, individual place they want to make their memories and enjoy for many years.
